Colvic sailer 296 Project with Prime Berth
‘Rumpus’ is currently out of the water and on hard standings at Plymouth Yacht Haven. She was removed from the water to have her teak deck attended to. Removal of the teak highlighted some issues with some of the decks ply core, which will need repairing in some areas. More information can be given on request. Around 1/3 of the top deck will need repairing.
Replacement core and a cost of deck paint will make Rumpus a capable and well equipped boat for cruising and travel, with a good bill of health on her last survey in September 2024
Although ‘Rumpus’ is out of the water our berth at Sutton Harbour will be transferred with the sale. Sutton Harbour is located in the heart of Plymouths Barbican and provides excellent access to the south coast, with plenty of entertainment and food options close by.
These vessels are renowned for being robust and roomy family cruisers, featuring a fin keel, a deep cockpit, and ample space and comfort both below deck and on deck. They are well-suited for both single-handed sailing and family voyages.
Lots of items have been renewed and updated such as the standing rigging and a new fuel tank.
Below deck, she boasts an open and spacious layout, featuring a well-appointed galley, a cozy saloon, and comfortable sleeping quarters with crew berths. This includes a separate head and a double berth in the forward cabin. The accommodation is enhanced by ample stowage, plush upholstery and fine woodwork.
