Cobles were, and still are, traditional boats on the North East coast, designed to be able to be pulled up onto the beach after a day's fishing. This GRP version of the classic Coble fishing boat has the clinker appearance and is in good order. The toe rail and rubbing strake are varnished wood, as are the thwarts. She comes with her own road trailer so that she can easily be towed. She will take an outboard engine in the purpose built well.... read more

This stunning example of the boat builder's craft was built by Peter Matheson of Clydeside Traditional Boat Builders as a way of passing on his skills to volunteers and apprentices. Peter Matheson is widely known and respected as a builder of traditional wooden boats, and Girl Pat is a fine example. Our photographs show the quality of the workmanship. She is based on the Beer Luggers of Devon but is more substantially built. Clinker built, the planking is 3/4 inch thick well seasoned larch. The deck is 1 inch thick top grade Oregon pine. Rather than steamed frames she has fitted f... read more

The Moody 33 MK 2 was originally designed by Angus Primrose as a centre cockpit sloop, with spacious accommodation and good sailing qualities. This fin keel version has been well maintained and has cruised the West Coast of Scotland, presently based at Ardfern Marina in Argyll. The present owner purchased Sheer Perfection in 2010 and although she was apparently well presented, soon realised that there were various items that required up dating and he has continued to improve and modernise her during his ownership. The owner replaced the original engine with a new Sole 42hp indirect coo... read more

Encounter is a cruising Folkboat built in the UK in 1986 by D C Blake and sons. She is extremely well presented and is in immaculate condition having been well maintained. A copy of the 2018 survey is available. She is not like many other models of the Folkboat class; Encounter does not have a spartan interior, in fact her accommodation is both comfortable and well appointed. She comes well equipped with a full inventory and is ready to go. The original engine has been replaced with a modern Beta 14hp with only 150 hrs use. The engine drives a Brunton feathering propeller. All contro... read more

A classic 'Gentleman's Yacht', Shuna was built in 1935 by Hugh McLean & Sons at Govan in Glasgow. At that time she was the subject of much interest in the Yachting press and was featured at length in an article in the magazine The Motor Boat. Built of pitch pine on oak frames she is nearing the end of a comprehensive re-build at a boat yard in North Wales, and is now near completion. Renovation includes new teak decks with a widened and refurbished wheelhouse. The original engines have been replaced, and in 2005 twin 90 hp Beta diesels with a Beta generat... read more
